FABI Blanket Run
FABI initiated a blanket project in order to donate blankets to people who do not have homes or a something cozy to keep them warm this winter under the wonderful supervision
of Dr. Noelani van den Berg.
New Blankets from labs all over FABI were donated to this project. We ended up handing about 130 blankets to the Salvation Army, who were very pleased to accept the donation. On
the way there, we encountered the government strike, which made the trip a bit more interesting. In contrast, here we were, driving with a vehicle full of blankets for
people who would be too glad to receive a huge gift like this, and another group of people in the street who wanted more money. It only made us realize that people -
including us sometimes - often complain with the bread under the arm...
Thanks to Jan, Tracy, and Juanita who came with to make the donation delivery, Osmond and Barend who helped loading the TPCP vehicle, as well as Noelani for the great initiative.
Also a very special thank you to Bernice Porter for creating the art work on the sign in the fabi foyer.
