SPOOF (Society for the Presentation of Outrageous Findings, Epsilon Chapter)
Every year since 1997 the Society for the Presentation of Outrageous Findings (SPOOF) Epsilon chapter is hosted at the Forestry and Agricultural Biotechnology Institute (FABI). SPOOF is dedicated to the proposition that no research is too trivial, mundane, useless, misguided, asinine or insane to deserve a forum for intellectual discourse. Reports of original or partly original research, real or fabricated, from any discipline or from those totally disciplined are invited. Abstracts that contain approximations of the truth, vague generalisations and wild speculations are encouraged. The FABI Social Club is dedicated to providing a new, never before seen SPOOF theme every year, resulting in extravagant dressing up, original decor and feasts worthy of royalty! Each year prizes are given out to the ?Best Dressed Male and Female? and a battle of titanic proportions is observed for the most sought after and coveted prize of ?Best SPOOF Presentation?.
