UP academics honoured at TWAS meetingBy Jimmy MasombukaPosted on 09 November 2009 TWAS meeting held in Durban. At a meeting of the Academy of Sciences of the Developing World (TWAS) held in Durban in October 2009, Prof Toko Majozi and Prof Bernard Slippers of the University of Pretoria were made TWAS Young Affiliates, while Prof Robin Crewe, Prof Rashid Hassan and Prof Brenda Wingfield, who are also academics at UP, were elected to the fellowship of TWAS.Prof Robin Crewe also formed part of the TWAS delegation that presented a TWAS medal to President Jacob Zuma.
