Eight FABIans served on the judging panel of the North Gauteng Senior Science Fair at the University of Pretoria’s LC de Villiers Sports Campus on 18 August. The annual fair is the largest expo for budding scientists at schools in Gauteng, with 57 schools participating this year. FABI was represented by Drs Vuyiswa Bushula-Njah and Awelani Mutshembele as well as postgraduate students Arista Fourie, Bianca Jardim, Johan Liversage, David Nsibo, Danielle Roodt, Ariska van der Nest and Andi Wilson. More than 500 learners from grades 7 until 12 submitted individual and group projects in various categories including plant science, robotics, sport science and social and psychological science.
