Introduction

Greetings! My name is Joey Hulbert and I am a PhD student in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences at University of Pretoria and a Affiliate Research Student in the Department of Conservation Ecology and Entomology at Stellenbosch University. I am supported by the Forestry and Agricultural Biotechnology Institute. I have initiated a citizen science program called Cape Citizen Science with the objective to engage the public in my PhD research about the population genetics of Phytophthora cinnamomi and the phylogenetics of the Phytophthora genus in the fynbos biome of South Africa. Please contact me with any inquiries about the program or research (more information at http://citsci.co.za/).
