Research Interests

I completed my Honours degree in 2007 in Biotechnology. The research conducted during my Honours project involved studying the characterization of the new mutant of banana hybrid FHIA-01 using RFLPs. In 2009 I joined the Forestry and Agricultural Biotechnology Institute (FABI) and the Fruit Tree Biotechnology Programme (FTBP) for a Master's Degree under the supervision of Dr Noëlani van den Berg. My MSc project aims at contributing to the Biological control of Phytophthora cinnamomi in avocado trees.
