Research Interests
I completed my Bachelors degree in 2007 and my honours in 2008 both in Genetics. In 2009 I enrolled for Masters studies in Genetics under the supervision of Prof Bernard Slippers. I am a student in the Centre of Excellence for Tree Health Biotechnology (CTHB).
My honours project was on the identification of species of Botryospheariaceae occurring on Gmelina arborea and Eucalyptus grandis in Indonesia.
My MSc research project is on Phytophthora occuring in native ecosystems. For this study I will be monitoring the Crocodile river in Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden for Phytophthora spp.
