Research Interests
My MSc research project was aimed at the characterisation of nucleotide diversity and linkage disequilibrium in lignin biosynthetic genes of Eucalyptus species. This enabled the development of SNP markers for alleles of these genes. These markers could possibly be used for association studies and marker-assisted genetic improvement of traits in Eucalyptus breeding populations. I am currently working in the FMG research group as a technical assistant. I am involved in the fingerprinting and genotyping of Eucalyptus tree breeding populations. Additionally I am involved in a number of smaller research projects.
