Research Interests
I completed my BSc in Entomology at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. From 1996 until now I have been working as a Research Officer in the
Research and Development Department of Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper, one of the major drivers amongst pulp and paper companies in Indonesia. I have been involved with a lot of works not only
on pest and disease management in forest plantations as my main interest, but also with plantation management such as tending practice and site management.
Currently I am doing my MSc degree in the Department of Microbiology and Plant Pathology at the Forestry and Agricultural Biotechnology Institute (FABI), University of Pretoria.
My research interest is on Ceratocystis spp. and Botryosphaeriaceae as pathogens of Acacia trees in forest plantations in Indonesia. The aim of my study is to identify,
characterize and describe these fungi using morphological and molecular data and pathogenicity trials. This study will provide information regarding the role of these fungi and produce
possible management strategies for these fungi.
