Research Interests

I am the curator of the CMW (Cultures of Mike Wingfield) culture collection in FABI. This collection mainly serves the research needs of the Tree Protection Co-operative Programme (TPCP) and the Centre of Excellence in Tree Health Biotechnology (CTHB). Isolates in the collection number in the region of 30 000. These are stored using a variety of techniques and are not sold but are supplied to students and collaborators of the group. I am married and a mother of three children, of which two have completed secondary schooling and are presently studying at the University of Pretoria.
