Research Interests

I have a keen interest in Plant Molecular Physiology and Pathology. I have done research on a new Ceratocystis sp. originating from East Kalimantan, Indonesia which was discovered by Prof M.J. Wingfield. We are working to fully describe the species and publish the data on it. My current focus now is on tobacco cells as expression vector systems for proteins of medical importance. I am working with Prof Karl Kunert in this project where we intend to research the feasibility and viability of using the tobacco plant to express a foot and mouth disease protein.
