Research Interests

I received my BSc Honors degree in Forestry in 2004 at Eduardo Mondlane University, Maputo, Mozambique.
Since March 2010, i am undertaking an MSc in Plant Pathology in FABI at the University of Pretoria. My research interests are focused on the forest pathology, specifically fungi occurring on Myrtaceae, such as Eucalyptus spp. and Syzygium cordatum. In my project I will focus on the fungi in the Cryphonectriaceae occurring on some Myrtaceae in Mozambique, specifically those that are pathogenic to trees. Part of my project will also be to look at the possible endophytic nature of fungi in the Cryphonectriaceae.
