Dr Sreedhara Ashok Prabhu

Currently, I am proudly a part of the FTBP group under FABI, as a post-doctoral researcher. My research focus is on ‘Unravelling the molecular basis of interaction between the Avocado-Phytophthora cinnamomi through quantitative proteomics approach’.
I completed my PhD in Biotechnology (Thesis entitled: Polygalacturonase-inhibitor proteins and their genes from pearl millet: Role in resistance against downy mildew) in 2013 from the University of Mysore, Karnataka, India, under the supervision of Prof. K. Ramachandra Kini. My doctoral work was funded by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, India. A part of my PhD was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Bruno Moerschbacher, Institut für Biologie und Biotechnologie der Pﬂanzen, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Schlossplatz 8, D-48143 Münster, Germany. It was financially supported by European Molecular Biology Organization and Prof. Moerschbacher.
