I completed my BSc undergraduate degree (2019) in Human Genetics at The University of Pretoria. This was the foundation where my love and curiosity for the field of Genetics and research started. I continued my research journey at UP and completed my BScHons in Genetics (2020). My Honours project focused on investigating potential genes involved in the host immune evasion strategy of the biocontrol agent Deladenus siricidicola under the supervision of Prof Bernard Slippers and Ms Alisa Postma Smidt.
My MSc project aims to build on my Hons project with a key focus on the genetics of the host immune response evasion of Deladenus siricidicola.
An important thing to keep in mind: "A little progress each day adds up to BIG results."
