My name is Precious Ramovha, a recent graduate in Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Forestry) obtained from the University of Venda at the year 2021. I am passionately interested in plant health and sustainability, and I am excited to contribute to the field of plant health and acquiring technical skills in the Phyto-sanitation and Biosecurity program.

My undergrade research study focused on the assessment of household firewood consumption within Khubvi Village in the Thulamela Local Municipality and it was found that many households mainly use firewood as source of energy for heating and cooking and there is a need of government intervention for sustainable management of forest resources.

My academic and professional experiences have fueled my ambition to specialize with plant pathology/entomology as they coexist with a concentration on biotechnology, and integrated pest control which I believe are critical on tackling food production and environmental concerns.
