Research collaborators from the ICFR visit FABI

FABI and the Institute for Commercial Forestry Research have, as two of the country’s leading forestry industry-focussed research institutes, enjoyed a longstanding research collaboration partnership. On 26 February, the ICFR’s CEO, Karin Nagel, Research Director, Dr Ilaria Germishuizen, and technical manager, Greg Fuller joined members of the Tree Protection Co-operative (TPCP) group in FABI at a strategy session hosted by FABI. The meeting was a great success with many new opportunities to collaborate identified to improve plantation forest health in South Africa. The strategy session was followed by a tour of FABI.
