On 16 February, FABI researchers attended the 14th online meeting of the Bark Beetle Mycobiome Network. The meeting featured a presentation by Prof. Jason Sajich from the University of California, Riverside entitled “From beetles to base pairs: A fungal genomics perspective on sequencing and assembling insect and fungal genomes”. The presentation and discussion that followed focussed on the genomics on insect-associated fungi, processing and utilization of data generated in genomic studies, and investigation of potential inter-kingdom associations.
