The FABI mentorship program welcomed a record 30 undergraduate students into the program in 2025. The program aims to provide second and third-year undergraduate students the opportunity to shadow post-graduate students and staff in their research, ultimately allowing the students to gain experience and confidence in lab-based settings. This is also the first year te programme included students from the Physics Department. After a busy and rewarding year, mentors, mentees, and PIs came together on 3 November for a relaxed and joyful year-end function. Mentees were presented with certificates to acknowledge their commitment and growth throughout the programme, and both mentors and mentees received custom T-shirts as a small token of appreciation. For those of us who have had the privilege of running this programme, it has been especially meaningful to watch this group learn, laugh, and support one another. Thank you to every mentor and mentee for your enthusiasm and dedication, and to our generous sponsors for making the certificates and T-shirts possible.
