Polish collaborators attend the annual TPCP / FMG-EPPI Symposium 2026-03-19
FABI welcomed back research collaborators Prof. Piotr Boroń, Prof. Anna Lenart-Boroń and PhD candidate Klaudia Bulanda of the University of Agriculture in Krakow, Poland for a two-week duration research visit. They had previously visited FABI in October 2025 at the start of the new collaborative research effort with Prof. Irene Barnes on pine needle diseases. They returned specifically to attend the annual meeting of the Tree Protection Co-operative Programme (TPCP), this year held in conjuction with the Forest Molecular Genetics (FMG) - Eucalyptus and Pine Pathogen Interactions (EPPI) annual symposium. Their visit also included continuing research work on pine needle diseases led by Prof Piotr Boroń. Prof. Lenart-Boroń also presented a special seminar about her research interests in studying the impact and pressure of humans on the aquatic environment in the hope of establishing similar research in collaboration with UP researchers.
