FABIans got together on 30 May to bid farewell and to wish Zandile Mngadi well on her last day at the Institute. Zandile has taken up a position in the Western Cape after being part of the team at the FABI Biological Control Centre since October 2015. She was responsible for the running of the Sirex lab at the Biological Control Centre and assisted with research related to entomopathogenic nematodes. She also provided technical support to postgraduate students at the Institute. Prof. Bernard Slippers applauded Zandile for assuming her responsibilities at the Biological Control centre with calm and grace. Dr. Brett Hurley thanked her for being a “positive light” on the team. We wish Zandile the best as she embarks on this new chapter in her life!
