Working as a laboratory technician based at the Innovation Africa Campus, specializing in the rearing and maintenance of biological control organisms for forestry and agricultural pest management. Experienced in the mass rearing of Deladenus siricidicola for the biological control of Sirex noctilio, as well as the cultivation, monitoring, and quality control of insect host cultures, including wax moth (Galleria mellonella) and white grubs.

Skilled in laboratory and insectary operations, strain maintenance, quality assurance, and biosecurity, with a strong focus on organism health, productivity, and long-term sustainability of cultures. Actively involved in research and method development to improve biological control efficacy and storage systems.

A key research project includes investigating the effects of long-term laboratory rearing of Deladenus siricidicola on its viability and ability to switch from the free-living fungal-feeding form to the parasitic form required for effective parasitism of Sirex noctilio. This work contributes to understanding strain fitness, parasitism efficiency, and long-term culture stability in biological control programmes.

Member of the Nematological Society of Southern Africa (NSSA).
