I am a diagnostic clinic technician under the grain research program. I diagnose and screen for diseases in plant and soil material collected from the GRP fields and grain farmers and provide a substantial response back to farmers. I also preserve fungal cultures on the mycology culture collection for future research. I also help with molecular diagnostics, field sample collection, and workshops. 

I conducted my MSc study at the Agricultural Research Council (ARC-GC) and registered with the university of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) where I focused on incorporating resistance against angular leaf spot  into the national dry bean cultivars using the international germplasm as sources of resistance.
