I completed my undergraduate degree in BSc Biotechnology in 2021, followed by my Honors degree in Plant Science - Plant Pathology in 2022. My Honors project aimed to evaluate the efficacy and modes-of-action of several biological control agents against clubroot of cabbage, caused by Plasmodiophora brassicae. I am continuing with my Masters degree in Plant Pathology in 2023 and 2024 under the supervision of Prof. Jacquie van der Waals, and I am part of the Citrus Pathology programme. I am looking to validate the Alter-Rater risk model for controlling Alternaria brown spot of citrus, caused by Alternaria alternata, in South Africa.
