I am currently pursuing my MSc in Microbiology with the ARP under the supervision of Prof. Noelani Van den Berg and co-supervision of Dr Velushka Swart. My research project focuses on investigating the role of Nectriaceae fungi in avocado black root rot (BRR). This research will also dive into testing the efficacy of fungicides and biocontrol agents (BCAs) against the Nectriaceous pathogens associated to avocado BRR. I am looking forward to making meaningful contributions to this research and acquiring new knowledge in plant pathology.
