In 2024, I graduated with a BSc Biotechnology degree from the University of Pretoria with a focus in plant genetics. During this time I developed a keen interest in plant pathology, especially of Agricultural crops.

Currently, I am completing my BSc Hons Plant Science degree, focused in Plant Physiology / Plant Biotechnology. My research project is supervised by Prof. Dave Berger under the Molecular Plant- Pathogen Interactions lab. The project focuses on the pathogenicity and phylogenetics of gray leaf spot disease on sorghum and other grasses caused by Cercospora sorghi.
