I completed my undergraduate degree in Genetics in 2024 at the University of Pretoria. I am currently pursuing an Honours degree in Microbiology within the Department of Biochemistry, Genetics and Microbiology, where my research focuses on marine microbiology. Specifically, I am investigating the DNA content of extracellular vesicles produced by Pseudoalteromonas marina to better understand their potential roles in microbial communication, horizontal gene transfer, and environmental adaptation within marine ecosystems.
