I am an Honours student in Genetics and currently conduct my research under the supervision of Prof. Tuan Duong. My project involves investigating the infection biology of Exserohilum species that cause Northern Corn Leaf Blight in maize by developing a CRISPR-Cas9-based fluorescent labelling system to visualise fungal infection and colonisation. I am particularly interested in molecular genetics and I enjoy exploring how scientific research can address challenges in agriculture, medicine, and the natural world. Through my research, I hope to contribute to improving our understanding of plant diseases and supporting efforts toward sustainable agriculture and crop protection.
