My focus is on all things insects. I have dedicated my research to understanding and building my knowledge on insects and their interaction with everything around them. I started my studies with BSc Genetics and Entomology dual majour afterwhich I did my Honours in Plant Science to improve my knowledge on the plant insect interactions. I later completed my MSc in Entomology on hoverfly and sunflower interactions, focusing on pollen insect-pollen interactions. I have always strived to ensure that I do not just build up theoretical knowledge by building practical skills in various projects related to my study fields. Past projects include aphid monitoring, Brithus crini intereactions with Clivias, Hermetia illucens mass rearing, Surphidae sunflower pollination and the use of Black soldier fly frass as biocontrol. I will continue to try and build knowledge that can be used for the future.
