I hold a BSc in Agriculture (Plant Pathology) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, which I completed in 2019. Currently, I am pursuing a MSc (Agric) Plant Pathology degree under the supervision of Prof Jacquie van der Waals. My research project evaluates the in vitro sensitivity of Botrytis cinerea isolates from South African lemon orchards to various fungicides, including azoxystrobin, benomyl, fludioxonil, and pyrimethanil. The research outcomes are aimed at enhancing the understanding of fungicide resistance patterns exhibited by B. cinerea, the pathogen associated with flower blight, premature flower drop, and rind distortion in lemon fruits.
