I graduated with a BSc in Agriculture, specialising in plant pathology, from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2019. Currently, I am pursuing an MSc in Agricultural Plant Pathology under the supervision of Professor Jacquie van der Waals. My ongoing research aims to test the sensitivity of Botrytis cinerea isolates sampled from lemon orchards in South Africa to various fungicides. The study evaluates the in vitro responsiveness of these isolates to azoxystrobin, pyrimethanil, fludioxonil, benomyl, and a combination of pyrimethanil and fludioxonil. Furthermore, the project investigates genetic point mutations associated with the resistance of the isolates to the above-mentioned fungicides.
