I am currently doing my honours in Genetics under the supervision of Prof Irene Barnes and the mentorship of Dr Markus Wilken and Dr Felipe Balocchi. My project will focus on characterising the mating type loci of the recently emerged tree pathogen Pewenomyces kutranfy to determine if it is homothallic or heterothallic.
