I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Pretoria majoring in Zoology and Genetics and went on to complete my Honours degree in Genetics in 2025. My honours project was a population genetics study on Fusarium euwallaceae in South Africa.

I am currently an MSc student within the FMG-EPPI programme under the supervision of Prof Sanushka Naidoo. My project examines transcriptomic response of soybean (Glycine Max) across key growth stages when exposed to elevated temperature and carbon dioxide. Such conditions are a result of climate change and understanding how soybean responds to these conditions is important in the production of climate-resilient soybean in South Africa.
