I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree under the supervision of Prof. Emma Steenkamp and the co-supervision of Dr Markus Wilken. My research focuses on investigating the potential of Spray-Induced Gene Silencing (SIGS) as a strategy for controlling Fusarium circinatum, the fungal pathogen responsible for Pine Pitch Canker in pine trees.
