I am Thembelani Magubane. I completed both my undergraduate and honours degrees at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Following my honours studies, I completed an internship at the Institute for Commercial Forestry Research (ICFR) under the Eucalyptus Tree Improvement Programme. I am currently enrolled for an MSc in Genetics under the FMG EPPI programme. My current MSc project focuses on quantitative trait loci (QTL) discovery in Eucalyptus, specifically identifying QTL linked to resistance against the fungal pathogen Chrysoporthe austroafricana.
