FABI celebrated the first publications in an ISI-rated scientific journal of four FABI postgraduate students in the TPCP and CTHB groups at a gathering on 27 February. This was also a celebration of women in science with Agil Katumanyane, Kira Lynn, Mandy Messal and Stephanie van Wyk being congratulated on their achievement. Kira’s paper is the first to be published from the recently-established RGE-FABI Tree health programme. This marks an important milestone in these young researchers’ professional and academic careers and is the foundation on which FABI is built: high quality research and publication output.
